crafting system basics, and consumables,and house building.

The avalability of the using, items, armors, and eating food. Depends soley on the players. The crafting system supplies players with the means to even play supportive roles off the lines of direct combat.

Crafting system basics


There are several support skills that involve crafting. This includes even houses, and yes traps to capture animals/creatures for taming. Each of these take time, but will supply various ways in assisting both yourself, and others in emerging victorious as they climb through the levels.

These are

Cooking: for making food

Armor smithing: for armor

Black smithing: for weapon creation

First aid: for potion making

Crafting: for making various items

Trap making: for creating traps

Construction: for making homes


Now to further explain. Consumable  Items, foods, and the likes being crafted will require time to be made. And they can grant various bonuses when consumed or used. Or do various effects. That being said every 1 level in the attempted crafted project will require 4 OOC hours to be created.  Topic created will require the header "Crafting project" *houses/homes are special cases*

(Example: wilfred crafting lv 1 potion will require 4 hours.)

Every 500 words typed in said topic. Detailing to creating said creation will reduce the project by 1 hour. As stated in Experience gaining section. Your contribution will result in EXP gained in leveling up your skill. (More in experience guide)

Of course should you lack said skills. You can request the services of another player. The deal could easily be brokered IC for cor, items, favors. Etc.


consumable item/food bonuses

When using a consumable item in combat the buff lasts for up to 4 posts. Unless reapplied. With food the buff lasts for up to 3 topics when the meal is consumed. Note that bonuses can stack. But 1 character is allowed  to consume up to 3 meals. While buffs from consumable items are swapped with the new item effect upon consumption.


Building a home

Now unique factor is building a home. Now a home is a safe haven for your charecter. In this place you could store items,armors, and have a safe haven for your pets. Safe to rp in as well.  In the case of guilds you can communicate with guild members  safely within your home.

You can of course build your own home should you have the  construction skill. But if not. Contracting another player is an option. This case you and said player can determin payment IC.

Depending on the level  of your house. There are limits, and even higher level houses are granted special privlages. Like a whole subforum as an example.  Based on this constructing an house has considerable risks. And requires certain things to be done.

Step 1: pick a floor you have already completed
Step 2: neutralize an area (requires fighting a field boss and creatures) this topic will be titled *house clearing*
Step 3: begin building.

takes 24 hours per level to compkete building. Snd during this time you could be attacked by other players/even ambushed by mobs. *during your creation time you will be ambushed by 1 mob of creatures for that floor* every 500 words writen detailing the creation of said reduces the time by  1 hour ooc. This will also  grant you exp for construction.

Players are allowed up to 3 houses in one lifetime.

Upgrading houses/repairs

Houses can be upgraded to the appropriate level with an charecter that has construction skill. This can be done so long as an construction level is 2 levels above the level of said house. In this case this will require 8 ooc hours to complete. Every 500 word count typed will reduce upgrading by 1 occ hour.

In the case of an attack on your home by other players. Via for burgulary, and the likes. Your home repair requires 4 ooc hours to repair.

Installing home devices

There are various appliances that could be used and created. But for starters this can go for various things such  tables, to even special facilities like crafting, and forges that could reduce time to crafting/creating  new things.  Installing a new device only requires 4  ooc hours. Reduced by 1 hour per 500 wc writen in said topic.

Home protection feature


while in your own home the protective features keep your home in a semi cloaked status. Meaning that unless marked by the mark system, and the intent is to rob your home, (note they must search for your home.) the home is difficult to locate.

your home while you are away will have all defenses primmed and ready including traps, and NPC/ pets at the ready to defend the territory. 

NPC defense.

once completed an free NPC caretaker will be assigned to your house. (note its stats and skills can be set by the player.) up to 5 additional NPC caretakers can be hired for the appropriate COR cost. (note very expensive).

these NPC's are unique and rather powerful. capable of setting detection traps up to their level, which inform them when an intruder has invaded your home/ home territory.
