Death and beyond Empty
PostSubject: Death and beyond   Death and beyond EmptySat Feb 20, 2021 5:39 am

Death. it is sad, harsh, perhaps the world boss ate your squad alive, and you fortunately died after 3-4 posts. you did a last stand as tank ensuring your teammates lived on and tragically was stabbed by a highway man. He then loots your objects and they fade back into data space.

regardless of trap, pvp fight ended in you dying in raid. death isnt pleasant, but it happens. So what happens when tragedy falls? Here we will answer the  hard question and rough solutions.

what happens.

well to start off your character may have a flashback, or do an action smid that flashback. This action will be empowered significantly due to the mortal life being endangered. This may be an attack, or a spell, and it'll defintly be much harder to avoid in general, but like wise. The damage will be increased by +25% if it hits.

now your charecter dies, maybe last words, or a whimper, their object, and cor are dropped from that space if held on them, otherwise objects in inventory in home, is set in the shop at an reduced price of up to 25%. if in guild storage they are now guild property to be distributed by the leader.

lost my charecter now what?

this is harsh SAO was brutal in this, but luckily you are in a rpg forum. Welcome to your character loss.  unfortunately you may not get your character back, But your next character will be different, bigger, better, stronger.

In light of the loss your next character will be created at an level equal to the level of the monsters on the second highest floor you have acended to. This however will go no lower then level 6 at start for a head start. But a maximum of prestige 3 level 15. this is before you add the beginning level 2, and 50 sp points you can allocate.

i will be avenged!

Upon meeting the fallen location of your previous charecter the monster/boss that killed you  will be special, as if you kill it. your character will earn an Avenger bonus which grants 2 free levels despite EXP.

allied party members of the fallen character can benifit from this too, as if they participate they will too gain 2 levels, and one of your items. Which will go up in quality, meaning if epic quality, may turn your item to unique, or even legendary.  such an upgrade will give the winner of said item an free choice on +15 to whatever stat bonus is on said item, and 1 unique ability that enables the user to use 1 spell, or ability that they had.

pvp avenger

if killed in pvp the above will apply as well but be warned it can be dangerous getting the pvp avenger status on you is deadly. The PVP avenger status lasts on a character up to 1 month in total, during this time the character will be noted on a wanted list set up by the system. and any duels/ pvp done will be death enabled.

Should the offender survive this ordeal the  character will be granted an survivor based award, and a special achievement. (more on this later)
